Morgan State Bears Suffer Defeat to Eastern Shore Hawks in MEAC Tournament
The Morgan State Bears faced the Eastern Shore Hawks in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Tournament and unfortunately, lost 86-78. The defeat marks the end of the season for the Bears, who had high hopes for a strong tournament run.
From the start of the game, the Eastern Shore Hawks were in control. With their quick and calculated plays, they outscored the Bears in the first half by a score of 45-33. The Bears were unable to catch up to the Hawks in the second half and ultimately lost by 8 points.
The Bears did put up an impressive fight, however. Junior forward Troy Baxter Jr. led the team with 19 points, while senior guard Sherwyn Devonish-Prince Jr. added 18 points. Despite their efforts, the Hawks were too strong of a team for the Bears to handle.

As for the Hawks, they advance to the quarterfinals of the MEAC Tournament where they will face the 1st seeded Norfolk State Spartans.
